Why is everybody not giving the iPad a chance? Try giving it a chance and, over time, it will improve.

Forget comparing it to a tablet, iPhone, iPod touch, netbook, laptop, etc. It fails there. On the other hand, Kindle was the hottest selling item on Amazon last Christmas – compare the iPad to that! Does it better and does more – if I were a Kindle type of reader, and casual web browser, this probably would be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

  8. Jaykay11777 says:

how powerful is this thing? cause if its about the same as a ps2 then it stands a good chance be succesful in the gaming market

  9. grafight says:

no question the iPod touch can do all that (minus iWork and iBooks) But since I don’t have an IPod touch now I can choose to have one in regular size, or “supersized” and choice is good.
If you feel it is pointless to you, so be it. Many people don’t feel they need something between the iPod touch and a laptop, but eventually the touch interface and the tablet format will become a standard. Tablets will soon have all the functions of a desktop and more. This is just a start, IMO.

    @dsa0224 lmao. agreed

  11. prumprizzle says:

@grafight lol dude thats what the ipod touch was for. this thing is the most pointless thing since george bush

This frees people from having to have AT&T for phone service just to have an iPhone. Now I can go with T-mobile, get the free basic phone that comes with the plan, and get the iPad for media, games, books and all the thousands of cool apps. Sold!

  13. catalinaguerrero says:

    fail

  14. luis61961944 says:

no its not actually its no a computer tablet computer…. is TOTALLY ANOTHER THING i dont want to sound like an ass but do some research and sorry for my bad english

  15. Zephanus says:

I really think that this is awesome. I’d but one and use one way more than I would if I were to buy an iPhone. And if I need a phone? Easy, I have a plain ‘ole, run of the mill dumb-phone, I can deal. If this doesn’t succeed I’ll be really surprised.

Great Product I WANT IT NOW

  17. Mohamedhp says:

Nice…I vote in favor of the iPad as long as I can get windows 7 on it :P

  18. Dafidd says:

yay let’s buy a big iPhone now!

  19. dsa0224 says:

if i visit a local apple store, and if i see someone buy one, im going to laugh my ass off. maybe take the ipad and slap it over his head to knock some sense

  20. trevorgamboa20 says:

So, to me it looks like a big ipod touch for the exceptions of being able to type documents and spread sheets and such. Also the video is supposed to be better. Besides these two factors I believe it’s just a big ipod touch

  21. JAJADJGUASON says:

no esta muy cara para creo que no me la comprate para eso mejor me llevo my macpro desperdicio de dinero

  22. sammanzhi says:

well the reason why a light version of OSX is more preferable is because a full OS eats up hardware resources, something a thin and light machine doesn’t have. There are plenty of more inexcusable flaws with the iPad though…

  23. IMPMAC says:

it is, iPhone OS is based off OS X

  24. Mumblemumble375 says:

compared to other companies apple’s hardware designs kick ass!

  25. Mumblemumble375 says:

that’s the idea, it’s not quite a mac and it’s a bit more than an iPod touch….
